Namen – Names
Folgende Familiennamen treten in meiner Datenbank über meine eigenen Vorfahren auf.
Following family names are part of my database about my own ancestors.
The letters ä, ö, ü and ß are not part of the english language. They have to be transformed from the german spelling into the english spelling. Either they lost their „points“ (from ä to a, from ö to o, from ü to u) or they are written in the following way: ä = ae, ö = oe, ü = ue. The german „ß“ is written “ss“ in the english language. Mostly the family name Oldörp had been transformed into Oldoerp in former times (emigrants from Germany to USA, Canada and Australia). In some cases I’ve also seen the variant Oldorp. All the following names are written in the german spelling.
